If it's possible to fish, I'll be at the end of the north pier. The Bonito (false albacore) have been blitzing the end at the tide change in the afternoon. A lot of fun.

Just like the title say... Seems like it's going to be a wet one... time will tell. Tears143, Had I not traveled up north today, I would have gone out in the a.m. The day was cloudy, mild and without a lot of wind. Tomorrow may not be bad but the next several days do not look good with a strong front coming in, BTW, I encountered two fronts this afternoon with my flight up to Wisconsin. The temps slid down from 82F in Tampa to only 35F in Milwaukee with high winds. Snow is predicted tomorrow night up here with a winter storm watch posted. (tried to find a snowman icon but none there)

Not me this weekend. The J-O-B beckons this weekend. Probably a dud weekend with the front moving through.
Good luck to those with the free weekend to venture out!
Fill yer buckets...it beats mowing the lawn.

This Weekend, Another Front is Moving through & the Temperatures are supposed to Drop. Yep, that's probably the one that'll empty the stands at Mackerel Stadium. Orlando station says 50s come Monday. But they usually tell you the most extreme temp in the viewing area and that's Ocala. I need to swing my antenna around and get the Tampa stations. They are a lot less hype! Again, good luck to you that go out. D

We expect several inches of snow and then the front Saturday night. Sundays high here will be only 27F and that will be the strong front headed to FL.

As expect a very slow day. There were 0 mack in sight. I guess they left in a hurry or is hiding in the deep channel. Next week will tell. Ended up with 2 snapper. Enough for dinner. Water was very clean. Got a small sheephead as well. Didn't really fish for pompanp as I woke up late but did get a few dozens crab for sheepies that I didn't use as well. LOL

I saw several caught today. Bonito as well. Large schools all over the bay. Could see everything since it was a mirror, no wind or seas. The mack aren't completely gone, yet. I caught one on a damn sabiki. Seen a lot more trout now.

So they went into the deeper channel then... or maybe the red tide push them over there.

No, just a real full list of 'todos'. I actually hope to get out before Feb., but who knows. If I can plan it a day or two in advance, I'll put a notice here in case anyone wants to meet up for some fishing.

Tears taught me sheepshead today. Got my first keeper and now I'm addicted. I heard there was an early back bite. We chummed all afternoon and nothing. All signs point to them being gone.

We also saw some clown catch a 16" pompano on a sabiki...at the end of the north pier in 25ft water.
