Ive got a 4 day weekend, and its lookin pretty fishy! Not sure about the morning shift, but Ill be at the SSP for the afternoon switch. Outgoing runs from about 4:15pm (2.1 feet) til about 1:00am (0.0 feet). Theres a major solunar period from 3pm - 5pm (centered right around the switch) Last hour of incoming, first hour of outgoing is gonna be the hot ticket!!! After the SSP, Im switchin to Snook mode. Gonna try to get my first this weekend, and hopefully more than that (yes I know its closed season). Beach fishin is on the agenda Saturday morning, and if theres any action, maybe Sunday too, with more fishing in between. Fishonfishoff, you ready to do some damage this weekend?? Lets tear em up!!

Hey goindeep and everyone,
I just moved to Florida and this is actually my first post on this board, but I plan to hit skyway weekly. Tomorrow will be my first time there, I plan to get there around 5am.
I know I am new here now but I hope to become a common face, and I am certain I will have questions so it looks like I am in the right place. I look foward to fishing and chatting in the future!
I'll be on the south pier, drive a black 96' camry with a batman sticker on one of the rear passenger windows (can't remember which side). I'll be the one that looks like a tourist, feel free to come by and show me a thing or two.

Getting off early today so I bumped my trip up to this afternoon. Should make it there around 7:00pm and going to fish as long as I can stay awake then nap in the car and wake up early and hit it again. Anything I should know about the late PM early AM fishing? Any insider tips as to what I should target. I heard people pull a lot of grouper but the keepers are few, hope I get lucky.

Weekend forecast:
80% change for gags on Friday, with an early evening Snapper shower. Highs for those snapper will be in the mid teens (inches).
Saturday is lookin partly snookie with a chance of cobia before noon, then some scattered Tarpon rolling in from the gulf mid afternoon, with highs reaching close to 150 (poundage).
On Sunday, expect a mix of all of the above, with a 60% chance of isolated shark flurries after sundown.
Plan accordingly.

Do any of you guys fish off of the north pier and is one better than the other as far as fishing is concerned?
Ive only been going to the Skyway for the last few months about once or twice a week and Ive always fished the north pier and done pretty good by my standards lol

Hey Jay, was out Tuesday, jumped one about 100 lb. class. Not much else goin' on. Durring slack tide, they were all over the "Alley", just couldn't get the bite. Will be out Sunday. Hopefully the Brownie troupe leader will show her self again.

Chris, Chad and Ink seen some MOGAN TARPONS yesterday, and caught 1 Cobe, about a half an inch short. Chad swears he seen a 200 pounder, but you know how they look bigger in the water... Hope you can get some Spanish fer bait! Good Luck this weekend... Somethin tells me it's gonna be killer. P.S. Stick a hook in that girl fer me!

Well headed back out there yesterday and managed too ice a 26" gag, bait is still everywhere perfect size greenbacks for the snaps, also saw a monster cobia maybe 80-90lb. range crusing the pier. Fellas next to me landed 3 nice mangos after sundown, grouper were smashing everyones lines and finding there holes quick rocking up most of them. Oh and flipper is still off, just does backflips and shows for the touristis now no more stealing. Crank fast and hard everyone and good luck this weekend.
