Went out last night before the front came from 8:30 pm to about midnight... the wind was strong and there were white caps. Incoming tide was stronger than I expected too. 3 oz. Could not hold bottom.
I got a couple small lane snapper and some decent sized pigfish all on shrimp. No pinfish
Had one hit on my cut bait rod, but did not hook itself.
Question... when the tide is ripping and you want to fish the bottom with cut bait ... I uses a weight before the swivel with about 4 ft of line after the swivel.. is that too much?
