Ok, now that we have some cooler weather rolling through, how will that affect the piers? I know the sheeps hang out, what about the Macs and snapper. Do more grouper come in? I also know the kings will be here for a bit, anything I'm overlooking?

Snappers is already thinning out or finding deep channel or muddy bottom to hide. Sheep, flounder, and grouper will be coming in. Kingfish will leave soon with macs and bluerunner.

Tears, I have been attempting Flounder gigging the beaches and flats near causeways (Clearwater) for the last month or 6 weeks (low tide at night wading with underwater lights). I read that Flounder migrate offshore in the winter to spawn and return to the beaches and bays when water is warmer. The Skyway piers and channel area seems different. Last Sunday 11/10 afternoon I took my wife and daughter to the SSP (we caught only 2 short macks on sibikis) but my wife saw a Flounder swimming near the surface during the last part of the incoming tide, near high tide (130pm or so). Do you see flounder caught at the Piers in the fall winter? I'm Trying to gauge the migration by water temp changes.

I have been seeing more and more small flounder showing up at skyway. Usually the passes on the beaches and such see more of them.

Do the flounder hang out near the entrance of the ssp? I've caught a few there back in the day.
