Hoping to get out to the skyway Friday night, but the weather doesn’t look promising. Think the opportunity for keeper Mangoes is nearing its end for the season... Thoughts?

Also looks like it will be close to slack tides most of the evening Friday, not looking promising between the weather and the tides, but will probably try anyway....

I have caught snapper at Ft. Desoto late as December. Depends on how strong the cold fronts have been.

If the current picks up add a small splitshot. if you switch to jighead hook bait bottom lips up in a good meaty spot. Pigfish are deadly. Whitebait not so good for this style of recon fishin cus the pisators will clean you out before you even get going. Silver dollar sized pins pigs or squirrels work best. hold on tight. good luck

Nice shot of some 20" plus Goozers caught just before the storm. Pic is from Big Mikes Skyway Piers Facebook Page.
