Tamp bay is in really good shape, best I have seen in 5 yrs, sure hope the R tide don't get us again. I heard the last red tide started in the gulf or inshore to the south Nov 2017 and got us by aug 18. I am keeping my fingers crossed

Thanks for keeping us up to date, MM.
I better get out and get some fishing done before this gets worse. :/

Hopefully we will get a good cold front soon to stir things up and disperse this one before it gets worse.

Last Wednesday here in naples the Gordon river was full of dead mullet as well as the beaches. Wife and I just got back home and the situation seems to have gone away, but all we need is one wind shift and here we go again. Nothing caught off the naples pier in a few days.

Many years in the past when Cold Fronts move through the Area, it disperses the Red Tide. A steady Easterly Wind usually keeps it off-shore. We just have a Drifter in the Area now as indicated in the Beginning Post. Let's all hope that it stays to the West of Us.
