I know there’s a list in the stickies but additional info would be appreciated. Where is the most convenient stop for some shrimp on the way to the NSP approaching from the north via 275. Tatums appears to be the easiest by looking through the stickies but I’m not sure. Where do my fellow Pinellas peeps like to stop that doesn’t send me way off of US 19 or 275?

Go to O'Neill's Bait Shop & Marina Take I-275 South Get Off on Exit #16 Go to the Stop Sign Turn Right then immediate Left Go down about 1/4 mile & O'Neill's is on the right Then Go back to the Stop Sign & Take a right & then right again to get back on I-275
If You are on US-19-(34th st.) Go to Tatum's on US-19

I like Tatums for the convenience and decent prices for bait, lures and snacks. People friendly too. They open at 6 am. I use them for the skyway and also at times for Fort DeSoto.

Like Mackman said Oneills is good. Same exit is Gator Jims also. The are friendly and have a ton of tackle, they don't size thier shrimp, so when you get a dozen it's mixed sizes. Their both the last exit before the bridge so if your not using an areiator you can get to the bridge a freshen up the water quick. Tatum's stays open latter and has a good selection of live bait, the stock fiddlers more than others I have seen. It's easy off then back on 275. They don't have as much of a selection of tackle. However, they are well stocked with Doc's jigs.

I live on the south side, I buy my boat gas from O'Neills, maybe ice when I am in the boat, I also am trying to support Gators (by car or bike) they have any tackle you would want. from cheap to hi end. its the biggest tackle store I have been in, and the guys are friendly and if you ask for help they will try. you will not get any advice at oneills.

Was in O Neills yesterday for boat gas and 2dz shrimp, very friendly and helpful. Boated out Bunces pass around Egmont under the skyway back to Big Bayou.. Outside of Egmont was full of boats on the beach, at least 3dz boats in the ditch bayside , I forget how many people live in Florida. stopped on the flats out side of Coquina Key. no body around. 3 3ft Bonnet head sharks 4 short trout 1 puffer all on 6 shrimp All in all I think the Bay is in really good shape, more fish than I have seen in 5yrs,

Anybody know the frozen shrimp prices at O'Neil's? Got some frozen shrimp at Gator Jim's and they only had one size, which seemed to be Jumbo size. I'm looking for medium-large size. I've also tried the Skyway Bait & Tackle just south of the SSP, but those were all very small.

I went to Skyway Bait a few trips ago and wasn't real happy with the live shrimp. I got selects, but they seemed pretty small to me. Not real lively either.
