How’s is the fishing at Clearwater pass. Don’t see too much talk about it? There is a nice looking jetty.

The jetty itself versus the piers, which I have mentioned before, is a rough scramble amongst the large and uneven rocks. As you have mentioned using a Yak, that maybe a better approach to fish there.

when you enter sandkey park make a right turn at the 3rd turnoff there is a parking area for the jetties it was free last time I was there
porta potty amenities not much else
bring everything you need ...

No charge to park there as well. You can clean your fish at the piers. There are 2 porta potties. If you want water etc., you have to drive into the park itself where there is a parking fee.

I recall one day last fall when I got about a dozen spottails and grunts in little over an hour. There have been many days there when I get bites soon as I lower the bait...lots of bait stolen. Last Friday's action with only 3 keepers in an hour was very slow. Never have been skunked at that place. I rarely have to fish there more than 2 hours, given the active bite.
