Both of those mack bites look real good.
That idea of MM is very good to enhance his lure. Would look to hear about good results.

It takes me less time on the pier to rip off some 40# and tie it there. Unfortunately, the split shot I used doesn't have those tabs to reopen them. Purely round. So I had to squeeze them shut with pliers, no resetting them puppies with my biting them. But we'll see. I feel like we are all trying to build a better mouse trap here. But mine will prevail, they're packed with FISHBITES!! Booyah!!!!!!!! Fill yer buckets, it beats mowing the lawn. D

dpagates,
I used it like a spoon with a 2 oz. weight. I did not try it with the bubble float.

Will cut bait other than Mackerel work as well to tip the hook? I've got some frozen up from early in the year...

Does this actually work? 4 bucks a pop for the spoon really adds up and I've only been doing this for a little while. Spoons are currently 1.50$ at the oldsmar flea market. I bought some earlier. Disclaimer: I know this is my first post, I've been a lurker for a while and just made an account - I do not work at said store, they just have decent deals.
