Hey tears143, I am ready for Grouper as well but I do believe the Water Temperature is still a little to warm to Kick off a Good Bite for the Grouper. Your Other Categories of Fish are "Right On". Tight Lines & Fill Your Buckets !

So Saturday, my friend and I went on a recon mission to find a new fishing spot offshore. We don't have even have a fish finder. We never go out from Ft De Soto and he wanted to catch something new instead of red grouper and grunt. We went trolling for kingfish and was instantly rewarded with a undersize king. We kept it up for a while and was able to get a big mack for it. I sort of got bore of it and I think my friend can see it. Trolling is not the type of fishing for me. So I took the hotspot map out and enter the cords into the GPS. While driving to the spot and another boat just got there 1 min before us. We saw them running back and forth to get in position. We then go pass them and started drifting to find a new spot. First drop bam, a grunt. I told my friend... eeehhh not the spot yet, wait until we catch something good. After a while the grunt completely stop biting, so we turn around and anchor up. Fish for a bit and was only getting grunts. I started chumming and after a while the snappers and macks show up to play. We got a good amount of them, even lost 2 grouper due to light tackle. Almost limited out and all snapper are 14-20"

Nice Catch Tears143. I love the looks of them. If You want to catch some Grouper, send Me a Message & We can hook up. If You do not have a Grouper Rod & Gear, that is No Problem here. I have an extra for occasion like that.
