Hey folks, looks like Imona be stuck in the house for a few weeks, convalessing from Amberjack shoulder, so I thought I'd start a little Grouper/ Snapper q and a thread for fun. who's first?

Ok crotchety old man. How do you fish for snapper at night? Never had good luck with them at night... but somehow manage to catch a few during the day time. Guess because I only fish during the day time. LOL
Reef or under my feet is better? What's your opinion/situation that makes one better than the other? :-p

Ok skyjay, give up all your numbers #_#..... (//||\\ Ha) why don't you start up some friendly controversy for us to debate. Ill be heading out in the next few days in the hopes of a decent gag, No high hopes with the over fished powerpro/stainless ridden gulf side of the SSP.
Tears, when I get to a spot ill first try the reefs. If that doesnt work, then try fishing the underside of the pier. If your are fishing the underside, I like to drift my bait with the current under the pier. After 20 mins or so with no bites, Ill move.

south pier live shrimp whitebait cut greenbacks night bite summer nights in the reefs and around pilings with eddys piling number ou812
