Here at NSP from 7:30 to about 11:15. Plenty of bait but nothing seems biting. I'm under the overhang at baitshop having a sandwich and guy pulls up a nice trout (from this distance). Most morning people left around 9:30. It's so hot out but gonna hit up SSP. D

Drift out a pinfish to the reefs and hope a grouper will bite. Problem is it was incoming tide. I went over to SSP, same thing. And I only lasted an hour and a half.It was way too hot for me! I suppose it would be better with the current drifting out a way to the west but I cannot stay that long. Best thing it was a day out.

Hey guys,I got out to SP at 6:30 am and stayed till 4:30 pm.Fished between the 3rd bathroom and the end mainly on the west side.At about 9:00 am I caught a 27" Cobia and rest of the day it was your normal stuff, grunts, threadfins, spots, puffers and a couple of lane snappers. The theadfins were thick around noon and good size, around 5 ". I saw 1 short grouper caught and a ray that was around 25#.I didn`t see any macks or snapper caught.Right before I left There was a good size nurse shark caught down where I was at.The crabs were there on the outgoing early afternoon but all in all it was a tough day.It was brutally hot but I did my 10 hours.I may go back out around 2:00 am and try for some blacktips. Thats my report for this trip.I generally go once a week.
-tight lines and good luck- Man it`s got to cool off a bit out there during the day.Oh I forgot it`s summer.

Was it small pass crabs or those big blue crabs? Thanks for the report. I put in my 5 hours at NSP but only 1.5 at SSP. Brutally hot. You caught the Cobia on the incoming right?

Anyone know what this is? Only thing I caught. Some kind of baitfish? Dpagates by looking at your picture, your knots don't look too good. Hard to tell but doesn't seem right. I lost so many good fish because of the knot and every now and then I would tie a bad knot. So just FYI.

This from a kid who couldn't tie his own shoes until he was 10.
