Hey all:
Of you that use the fishfinder setup on SSP, do you use egg sinkers or bank sinkers? What is your preference and why?
Thanks...

Easier as in doesn't get as caught up in all the other lead out there? I'm still a newbie and haven't tried the fishfinder yet but I'd think the bank sinker would tend to snag while egg would tend to roll over structure. A guy told me that there's tons of lead and lines out there gulfside of the pier. I can imagine.....

bank sinker, you'll need a slider for the weight. Egg just added to the line above the swivels.
tons of weight on the reef. If you are snagging you are in the right spot.

I also use egg with a bead right before the swivel then about 3 or 4 feet of leader

Also if you use lighter leader than.main line you get your weight back about half the time if you get snagged

Most of the time I would use heavier leader but if I got snagged. I tries to have the leader line rub against what it get stuck then break it off and you can save your weight that way as well.
