my dad is finally going to take me to the ssp not this up coming weekend but the next one will the spanish macks be thick what else should be biting that is edible I want to put something in the cooler  |

Mangrove Snapper, Macks, Grunts, Flounder, Trouts, Sheephead, and Pompano. That is what my ball tell me...

Stay shallow. Early morning, and sundown bite should be good. Grunts will chew all night squid strips

This time of year I prefer the first to just past the second bathroom area for macks, pompano and flounder. Its all about the current. Take a look at some of the satellite shots of the SSP. Try it for an hour or do in the morning. If it doesnt work out for your move on. If you dont get a good bite in 20 mins or so, move. and do so till you find the fish.
I would recomend Tossing a gotcha plug at each spot for a few mins. If the macks are there. they normally wont refuse.
