If your unsure if there are rocks in front of ya , take a light rod that casts far and put a small sinker on and cast around, you will find the rocks. Break off the snag and fish up current of it.

Yes you can, but it's highly unlikely. They will be there first light though. Snapper and trout are best bets at night.
