On Tuesday, went to the SSP for a bit of fishing. Fished sabikis and squid for bait, caught 3 baits.
At the end of the pier, a few folks were catching the occasional threadfin or sardine.
Didn't see anything large caught while I was there.
ETA: Squid and frozen shrimp were tried on a small chicken rig.

Weather has been spotty. Silver trout are the best bet... Late night jigs or dead bait Worked slowly

Chicken Rig with squid strips, small chunks of shrimp or 1/4 inch greenie slices, works well on the silvers as well.

Thanks for the feedback!
We tried the chicken rig with squid strips and some frozen shrimp pieces. It was on an incoming tide, and we were fishing between the piers, the accessable and the partially dismantled one.
You know, I don't think I've ever caught a Silver trout. Those are supposed to be on the small side, but plentiful, right? Caught many other sea trout; perhaps I have caught them and just threw it back as too small.
Tied some Mackerel rigs last night, hopefully they'll be moving in soon. May try this afternoon...
