This is probably a newbie question regarding the tides. On the north pier, which direction is the water on an outgoing tide? Is it from the bay side toward the pier wreckage/pilings?
What about the SSP? Which tide brings water toward the bridge?
I'm guessing the current going toward the bridge pilings is preferred, especially freelining. I'm not hip to which tide direction is what?
Thanks....

Incoming toward the bay...outgoing toward the gulf. Freeling can be done in either direction, but is easier for a noob on the outgoing towards the gulf.

So I had it bassackwards (intended pun?). So better to freeline away from the bridge/pilings out toward the open gulf/bay? I was assuming toward the structures was better. This is why I ask and why I also say thanks... D

There are structures toward the open water(reefs). Really depends on what you are after.

If free lining, make sure to secure the pole w/ lite drag. And pay very close attention to it. When free-lining, not unusual for a big shark or flipper to hit it, especially if live bait.
