Hey guys; it's 10/2/14 and there are no reports from anyone. Will someone please
go to the piers, catch a lot of fish, and give the rest of us a report? Thanks.

Ive been surfing this forum alot but here is my report this morning 10/05 Got to the North pier around 7: 30, baits were decent enough, but not many. Got 4 jacks and it was dead around 9 am. Went to South pier, baits were every where, got another 4 jacks and left around 12 pm. The last 3 weekends including this one, jacks were everywhere including baits. Macs were ok in numbers, but not many yet. Overall, if you go in the morning, you pretty much guarantee to get some fish lol

Stopped at the np this morning. Rolled up at 9:45am, just a little past the bathrooms. Threw the net and got about dozen big threads and one good size whitebait. Mostly fished cut bait on the bottom and threw the gotcha and jigged a large sabiki. No luck on those tactics. Water was still pretty dirty on the incoming tide. The best part of the trip was teaching my 6 year old daughter how to cast the spinning rod. Had a 1oz jighead with gulp shrimp on for her. Let her cast it out and reel it in. I think she had her first fishing adrenaline rush when a jack hit the light spinning rod. She held on and I helped her keep the rod tip up while she reeled in the biggest fish of her life. We left the pier at 11:45am. She had a blast and wants to go back soon, good news for me! Oh yeah did see a 25- 30 inch mack cruising the surface and a lot of jacks caught by others looks live shrimp was the bait of choice.
