Two days! Was out there Today Saturday... Will be out there again Sunday...
Caught 3 pompano, 1 flounder, a few macks... and call it quits around 12pm.
Not much going on after 12pm. Too hot for the fish. Wanted to try crabbing tonight but the net I bought doesn't extends correctly, I'll need to return it.

It looks like the weather is going to be bad so I'm going to probably postpone my monday trip, but, I'm going to try to target flounder on the next trip. Hopefully I can land a few.

I just started using them recently as well... So far I found that they only bite in the morning around this time of the year. Probably stop bitting at 10am... so fish 6am - 10am at the beginning of the pier.
Color that seems to work for me...
white, yellow/white, green, pink/white, pink.
Teaser = pink/red or white.
Remember, the key to using these jig is to let it touch the ground before you jig... every single time. There was a guy out there that was jigging mid column and wonder why he never get a bite.

The macks wanted nothing to do with live shrimp, frozen shrimp, live whitebait, cut whitebait, or speck jigs. I knew they were there though bc they would swarm are baits but no strike. To sum up my crappy day, I watched a dude next to me catch the smallest gag grouper I have ever seen, and promptly toss it in his cooler. I hope it tasted good, d#####. Hopefully this weekend will be better, although the past couple times I've gone now, I have gotten next to nothing.

To the guy that didn't really catch anything you have to try to jump around spots if nothing bites in an hour and a half then go to a different spot but there is actually a spot I always go to it's on the south side about 65ft before that bait shop cast out a green back cut in half use the tail have about a 1ounce weight in the middle and cast direct out to the side facing the ocean not the bridge . You will catch a lot of 17inch snappers, grouper, mackerel if you free line the cut bait. I hooked four tarpon two months ago it's a great spot to fish and you will never leave empty handed if the current is two strong and is going the opposite side the go all the way to the end and fish 40ft to the end and try to get it underneath the broken bridge make sure to look on posts you will see a couple that have an x on it that means there's debris around it. Good luck to those who are going anytime soon.

Im going out tomorrow and I'm going to roam around in the mangroves and marched before i get on the pier to collect crabs for bait.
