Excellent bcc, Keep up the good work. You will and probably already feel better. Really good news. I went from 245 down to 180 in about 4 months that was due to meds I was taking that had a side affect of lose of appetite. Had to go buy new clothes but enjoyed every bit of it. You'll be running the mile for long. Good Luck

Just curios if ya don't mind talking about it. What is a liver diet and what is the band you mention. I can only think of the band they place on your stomach I think to decrease you appetite. Once again, well done on weight lose.

Snooker the lapband is a band filled with fluid that is tightened around the top of the stomach. It makes you feel full with about 4 - 8 Oz's of food depending on what you eat. The liver shrink diet is a diet that the Dr. puts you on 2 -4 weeks before the surgery. It very similarly to the Atkins diet is done for less than a month so the side effects of the Atkins diet are not an issue. The diet is intended to shrink your liver because it is in the way of the surgery. The surgery is very minor microscopic surgery with very few side effects for most people.

WTG guys, you will never regret it. I need to get back on the wagon myself, it's real easy to put it back on if your not careful. Lost 41lbs, from 226 to 185, now back up to 200.

Well i got my 3rd band tightning about 2 weeks ago and only lost 1 lb since then. I am not drinking enough water i know but i sure did get sick of drinking what seemed like endless gallons a day. If i can loose another 3 lbs by the end of the year wi will be happy though. That will put me at 60 lbs lost .

I have finally made it the 60 lbs lost mark. I am know 335 not bad considering i was at 395 last january. I think that the first testosterone shot 2 weeks ago finally kicked in and i get another 1 tomorrow. Still hoping i lose another 40 lbs by april of next year. 15 + lbs a month may be unrealistic but if i only reach 75 lbs lost by april i will be quite happy.

Way to go, you got to feel great. You said you would be happy with 75 by April. My guess is it will be closer to 85 or 90. Keep it up, you may just be my inspiration to get back on the wagon, I need to.

Well its been a long tiime since i posted here again. The migranes have gone away for the most part but i am still strugguling to lose weight since my surgury. I did finally leave my signifcant other of 20 years. I couldent deal with her drug addiction and in and have rehab any more. Unfortunatly my 18 yr old dau. now hates me abd lives with her mom even though i got full custody of her when she was 16 during one of her mothers rehab stays.
